Currency, bank and money exchange

The official currency in Finland is euro (EUR). Hotels and shops accept most major credit cards. Money can be exchanged and traveller's cheques cashed in banks (open hours mon-fri 9.30-16.00) or in exchange agencies (e.g. Forex open hours mon-fri 9.00-19.00, sat 9.00-15.00).

Tipping

Service is included in all restaurant prices and taxi fares.

Electricity

The electricity supply in Finland is 220V (230V), 50 Hz. A two-pin plug system is used.
